As part of its commitment to advancing community health and supporting workplace wellbeing, The View Hospital delivered a dedicated Diabetes Awareness session for employees of Qatar Steel on 12 November 2025. The initiative forms part of the hospital’s efforts to raise awareness about early detection, prevention, and long-term management of diabetes—one of the most prevalent chronic conditions globally and in the region.
The session, titled “In the Fast Lane: Managing Glucose Before It Manages You,” was led by Dr. Tabinda Dugal, Senior Endocrinology Consultant at The View Hospital. Dr. Dugal provided practical, evidence-based insights on understanding glucose fluctuations, adopting healthy lifestyle habits, and recognizing warning signs that may indicate prediabetes or diabetes.
To enhance engagement, the session included interactive quiz questions designed to reinforce key messages and encourage active participation from attendees. Representatives from The View Hospital’s Marketing and IT teams were also present to ensure a smooth and impactful delivery.
A rehearsal was conducted ahead of the event to finalize technical and content preparations. The session concluded with an open Q&A, allowing Qatar Steel employees to raise specific concerns and receive expert medical guidance.
This collaboration underscores The View Hospital’s ongoing commitment to promoting diabetes awareness across Qatar through educational initiatives that empower individuals to make informed, proactive health decisions.
