Neck Procedures
The cervical spine enables head movement and carries nerves that control arm and leg function. Common issues include herniated discs, degeneration, and stenosis, causing pain, stiffness, numbness, or weakness. Most cases are treated without surgery, but when needed, advanced methods like artificial disc replacement and microsurgery are used.
Middle Back Procedures
This part of the spine supports torso movement and contains nerves affecting balance and leg function. Common problems include degeneration, stenosis, and tumors, leading to back pain, balance issues, or bladder/bowel problems. Minimally invasive techniques can often resolve these conditions.
Lower Back Procedures
The lumbar spine carries body weight, enables movement, and houses nerves for leg and bladder function. Conditions like herniation, degeneration, stenosis, tumors, or fractures may cause pain, stiffness, or mobility issues. Today, most are treated successfully—often without hospitalization—using advanced techniques like artificial disc replacement and microdecompression.
Global Alignment
The spine functions best when its regions—cervical, thoracic, and lumbar—are in proper alignment. Structural issues in the bones or discs can lead to deformities like scoliosis (curved spine) or kyphosis (hunchback). Brief Profile

Dr. Raoul Guerreiro is a Consultant in Medical Imaging at The View Hospital with over a decade of international experience in France and Monaco. He previously held key positions at the Monaco Institute of Sports Medicine and Surgery (IM2S), Monaco Sports Imaging Centre (CISM), and Princess Grace Hospital Centre (CHPG). During his tenure at IM2S and CISM—recognized centers of excellence in sports medicine—Dr. Guerreiro worked closely with leading orthopedic and sports physicians, including those affiliated with AS Monaco Basketball, AS Monaco Football, and OGC Nice. This exposure to high-performance sports medicine deepened his understanding of the clinical and diagnostic demands specific to elite athletes.

In addition to his work in MRI and sports imaging, Dr. Guerreiro has cultivated strong expertise in musculoskeletal ultrasound and ultrasound-guided procedures. His hands-on approach and integration of ultrasound into clinical decision-making have contributed to a refined diagnostic accuracy and procedural confidence, particularly in complex MSK cases. In 2024, he contributed to the medical coverage of the Monaco Grand Prix Formula 1 event. Fluent in four languages and experienced in multicultural healthcare environments, Dr. Guerreiro provides precise, patient-centered imaging care rooted in technical excellence and clinical insight.
