Neck Procedures
The cervical spine enables head movement and carries nerves that control arm and leg function. Common issues include herniated discs, degeneration, and stenosis, causing pain, stiffness, numbness, or weakness. Most cases are treated without surgery, but when needed, advanced methods like artificial disc replacement and microsurgery are used.
Middle Back Procedures
This part of the spine supports torso movement and contains nerves affecting balance and leg function. Common problems include degeneration, stenosis, and tumors, leading to back pain, balance issues, or bladder/bowel problems. Minimally invasive techniques can often resolve these conditions.
Lower Back Procedures
The lumbar spine carries body weight, enables movement, and houses nerves for leg and bladder function. Conditions like herniation, degeneration, stenosis, tumors, or fractures may cause pain, stiffness, or mobility issues. Today, most are treated successfully—often without hospitalization—using advanced techniques like artificial disc replacement and microdecompression.
Global Alignment
The spine functions best when its regions—cervical, thoracic, and lumbar—are in proper alignment. Structural issues in the bones or discs can lead to deformities like scoliosis (curved spine) or kyphosis (hunchback). Modern techniques such as minimally invasive correction, computer-assisted, and image-guided surgery have greatly improved treatment success.

Brief Profile

Dr. Maged Fahmy, an experienced psychiatrist specializing in patients aged 16 and above, graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University, in 2007. He earned his Specialty/German Board in June 2018. He then assumed pivotal roles at the academic Teaching Euregio Hospital in Germany and served as a Specialist in the Outpatient Clinic until December 2018, followed by a role as a Consultant for Inpatient departments from January 2019 to June 2022. Subsequently, he held the position of Senior Consultant at the Outpatient Clinic from July 2022 to December 2023.

Dr. Maged focused on severe personality disorders, acute psychosis, dementia, depression, anxiety disorders, alcohol and drug addiction disorders, and obsessive-compulsive disorders. He contributed to the Inpatient Clinic for Addiction Disorders and the Psychotherapy Department. Dr. Maged is also trained in the diagnosis and treatment of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

Dr. Maged holds subspecialties in Addiction (2018-2019), Behavioral Therapy using DBT/Skills-based therapy (2021-2022), and qualification for Traffic-medical Investigation (2022). In 2023, he added expertise in Group Psychotherapy and in 2024 he obtained a TMS certificate for treating therapy resistant depression.

A member of The German Society for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy, Dr. Maged reflects a commitment to professional collaboration and development.
