Neck Procedures
The cervical spine enables head movement and carries nerves that control arm and leg function. Common issues include herniated discs, degeneration, and stenosis, causing pain, stiffness, numbness, or weakness. Most cases are treated without surgery, but when needed, advanced methods like artificial disc replacement and microsurgery are used.
Middle Back Procedures
This part of the spine supports torso movement and contains nerves affecting balance and leg function. Common problems include degeneration, stenosis, and tumors, leading to back pain, balance issues, or bladder/bowel problems. Minimally invasive techniques can often resolve these conditions.

Dr. Hussam Abusahmin is a distinguished consultant in Diabetes and Endocrinology, boasting over 15 years of extensive experience in the field. He earned his medical degree from Tripoli Medical School before advancing his career in the UK. He completed his specialty training in Diabetes and Endocrine and General Medicine in Wales, obtaining his dual CCT. Additionally, he obtained a Master's degree in Diabetes from Warwick University, UK.

Before joining The View Hospital, Dr. Hussam spent six years at Al Qassimi Hospital in Sharjah, UAE, where he established Endocrinology and Obesity services, showcasing his dedication to healthcare advancement. In the UK, he held positions at prestigious medical institutions such as the University Hospital of Wales, Royal Glamorgan Hospital, Prince Charles Hospital, and Wrexham Maelor Hospital.

His comprehensive expertise encompasses a wide range of endocrine conditions in adults aged 16 and above, including obesity management, diabetes type 1, type 2, and gestational diabetes. Dr. Hussam specializes in diabetes technology like insulin pumps and various Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) systems, along with addressing dyslipidaemia, hypertension, thyroid and parathyroid disorders, calcium abnormalities, vitamin D deficiency, osteoporosis, pituitary and adrenal disorders, polycystic ovarian syndrome, adrenogenital disorders, unexplained tiredness, and other endocrinology disorders.

In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Hussam is actively engaged in academia, with a wealth of experience in teaching, research, and publications. He has presented numerous topics on obesity and endocrine diseases at national and regional levels and has contributed to respected peer-reviewed journals with many articles and case reports.
